CGN Pordenone – Oceano

At GGN Servizi, an Italian company founded by Giancarlo Broggian for online accounting and electronic services, art is an integral part of the corporate policy of well-being and happiness at work. In his book entitled “Il pesce che vola” (The Flying Fish), Giancarlo Broggian explains the company’s philosophy. In line with this, art was given a central role in the construction of the new “Oceano” headquarters in Pordenone in 2014. Gianni Maran and Nico Gaddi as well as Inge Bouwmeester acted as artists.

Among other things, Nico created a series of photos for the company headquarters, which are divided over the different floors. For Nico, the movements of the sea as well as the play of the waves and the wind at different times of the day are an analogy to the coming and going of the employees during the day, with moments of tension, calm and euphoria.

All these photos are analog, unretouched. To capture just the right moments, Nico spent months in the lagoon and by the sea, taking thousands of photos.
